The “Gavroche” Association in Varna finished successfully the project “Building capacity in young Roma women for protection from violence”, financed by the “Prevention” Directorship in the Municipality of Varna. The project lasted for 5 months and targeted 39 young women from the Maksuda area who took part in 18 group sessions on topics concerning human trafficking, recognition of the types of violence, protection from sexually transmitted diseases and unplanned pregnancy. Group work was combined with individual psychological consultations and techniques for decreasing anger.
