The successful cooperation between Gavroche and the English organization Oxford aid for the Balkans has been continuing and English students has been spending time at our home.The meetings of English students with the children from Gavroche are full of emotions, warmth, joy and entertainments. In the building of "Gavroche" Association was inaugurated resource center for child abuse prevention. It is part of present project, on which the assotiation is working - to promote best practice in child abuse protection in North-East Bulgaria, financed by OAK Switzerland. As well starts the publication of news bulletin, whose purpose is to inform you you about problems of the abuse. If you are interesed you can receive the bulletin on your e-mail or read it on the web-site of "Gavroche".

The summer of 2005 was one of the best summers for the children in “Gavroche”. It was full of emotions and nice experiences. The guests of the Center were 24 boys and girls from England – students in two of the most prestigious English universities – Oxford and Birmingham. The students were sent by the volunteers organizations OXAB and ICAB. In August 20 young women finished successfully their training in a tailor’s course on the “Social integration” program. Their selection was done by the Job-center in Varna, the requirement being permanent unemployment and secondary education. After passing their exam they started work in “Tursport” company – Dobrich and the Gavroche association helped them in this.

This summer again continued the effective cooperation of the Gavroche association and volunteer students who visited the home through the mediating role of the British organization OXAB (Oxford in assistance on the Balkans). Every year Gavroche is glad to have the interest and attention of students from Oxford University who spend 2 weeks in the home and participate in the daily life of children, organizing visits and excursions for them. This summer the Home was visited by 4 groups of students from 13.07. till 02.10.2004.
