On Septemeber 29-30, 2012 National centre "Gavroshovtsi", Elenski Balkan, held a workshop event of sharing experience between the field teams from the "Gavroche" shelter and the Alliance for children and youth from Sofia. The main topics for discussion were: issues and perspectives of the field work with the kids, prevention of violence, exploiting experience of others and applying it to the real situations.

In September the Norbekov club, Varna and hotel "Joya park" have organized a trip to the Aquapolis in Golden sands for the kids from the shelter and the Centre for work with children on the street. The fun in the aquarium was followed by a nice nutritious meal.

During the summer vacation the kids and the teenagers from the "Maskuda" district had a chance to entertain themselves by making imitating jewelry and drawing pictures, supervised by skillful and experienced artists Galina Dimitrova and Grozdan Lambov. On September 3 all of the hand-made decorations were exhibited on a special occasion at the Gavroche shelter. The kids demonstrated their skills at producing beads and showed these to other children from the shelter, from the Centre for work with children on the street, for the guests from the Child Protection Department...

Thanks to the initiative of the Norbekov Club, Varna, in July, the children from the Gavroche shelter had a chance to visit the Aquarium, see the dolphin show and later on to have great fun watching the Ice Age in 3D. Both activities should leave warm and long-lasting memories for the kids.

In June the kids from the shelter and Centre for work with street children spent wonderful moments in the Elena Balkan Mountains having the traditional summer camp. The rest in the mountain was combined with interesting games in the forest, picking up berries and barbecue

The children started the Easter holidays with traditional painting of eggs. Every child variegated his own egg and contributed for the festive atmosphere in the asylum.
