Dr. Tsvetanka Kovacheva from the Department of "Mathematics” with Technical University, Varna visited again Gavroche and gave as a gift to every child a bag with school text-books, notebooks and other tools. For the children there were also sweet temptations, music and amusements. The visit and the donation were devoted to the opening of the students’ school year.

Dr. Tsvetanka Kovacheva from Technical University, Varna and her mother – Mrs. Tsanka Pateva – former teacher in physics organized an extremely joyful fest for the children in the Asylum of Gavroche on the occasion of 1st of June. For all children there were nice gifts, sweets, toys, books, children songs and dances. The kids are thankful for the wonderful festivity!

Association “Gavroche” started a Project "Safer environment for children in risk in town of Varna", financed by OAK Foundation - Switzerland. The main objective of the project is to reduce the vulnerability of children to sexual violence and exploitation by establishment of safe family environment providing access to services for child’s protection and alternatives to the street life.

Children at different age from the Asylum for homeless children and Center for work with children on the street with Association “Gavroche” participated in the National School Frigate at the entrance of the Sea Park. Some of the participants were rewarded with medals.

Dr. Tsvetanka Kovacheva from the Department of "Mathematics” with Technical University, Varna organized a very joyful afternoon for the children accommodated in the Asylum of Gavroche. Dr. Kovacheva gave away many smiles and individual presents to every child and all this was accompanied with amusing music and tasteful treat. Together with her the children prepared popcorn for themselves and have a lot of fun.

In May the children participated in the “Children of Varna are drawing” contest of Pozvanete newspaper. The gifts we received were balls and painting materials, as well as memorable moments in Capella place in Mall Varna.
