In June the kids from the shelter and Centre for work with street children spent wonderful moments in the Elena Balkan Mountains having the traditional summer camp. The rest in the mountain was combined with interesting games in the forest, picking up berries and barbecue

The children started the Easter holidays with traditional painting of eggs. Every child variegated his own egg and contributed for the festive atmosphere in the asylum.

In February and March we organized training course for initial “read-and-write” learning of adults and the training was lead by the teacher Vyara Panayotova – member of the Gavroche team. This learning was carried out in a house of one of the participants and was accompanied by donation of clothes and foodstuffs. The people were very diligent and wishful to learn ABC. On the Lady-Day the children in the Asylum of Gavroche were visited by a priest from the Church “Young Virgin Mary”. On 17.02 students from the School in Economics in Varna visited the Asylum and they pleased the children with treat, gifts and “martenichki”. All together had good time, shared interesting stories and listened to music.

For the realization of the Project "Safer environment for children in risk in town of Varna" every week the team of Gavroche performs street turns in three regions of the town. The purpose of these street turns is to register homeless and begging children. During the field-work the team meets the families and they have appropriate media for free sharing of up-to-date problems and needs. The participants in these meetings received packages with food as donation.
